Midnight Madness

Midnight Madness is Austin’s premiere treasure race organized by Competition Unlimited. We first organized Midnight Madness in 1995 and opened it to the public back in 2002. Teams of up to six solve clues that lead them to different locations throughout the city. They constantly strive to stay one step ahead of the competition to reach the final clue that will lead them home. Think the Amazing Race done locally (but we were first!) and in one long, crazy night. Teams have the ability to call in for hints, but each call accrues a time penalty. At the end of the race the teams celebrate their successes and failures as they greet the remaining teams crossing the finish line after them.
